Thermostat Temperature Control
A thermostat is an electro-mechanical device used for regulating temperature. A thermostat may be a control unit for a heating or cooling system or a component part of a heater or air conditioner. But more commonly in the industrial sector of the trade, when we talk about thermostat controlled; we are referring to the common oven thermostat, which is a switch that opens and closes in response to the temperature it senses.
Oven type thermostats are typically found in the control panel, or in a box close by to the heated parts where a liquid-filled temperature-sensing bulb in the heated zone senses and maintains the internal oven temperature by cycling heat on and off. They are easily identifiable by their appearance as they look exactly like the controls on a domestic oven.
A thermostat switches heating or cooling devices on or off, or regulates the flow of a heat transfer fluid such as steam, as needed, to maintain the correct temperature.
